I don't always read all of the required material and often use the books as a reference when I am studying or looking up main ideas. This book worked great for that, as a supplement for what was covered in class.
The material was easy to read and very straightforward. So not only was it easy to use it was also a good value. Well written and very informative book. I used this book for a global health class as a requirement. I enjoyed reading it and found the content to be very interesting. The writing was intelligent, concise, and factual. Of all my textbooks, this has been one of the most enjoyable to read. I really like that the chapters are short and to the point, giving me the basic information without all the unnecessary fluff I seem to find in so many other textbooks.
My only problem was that sometimes the graphs were a little hard to read at first and lacked a key or index to help me understand what exactly I was looking at. Kindle version is excellent. I love the option to search and it really helped with online open-book quizzes for my class.
However, the pages are not consistent with the paper copy of this book, which might be a problem for some people. I'm really not a fan of reading books reading is like mandatory until I bought this book The author opens every door of learning and understanding, once I started reading the book it keeps me wanting to finish it and so I did and I'm planning to buy more books.
